Thunder Studios is a full service rehearsal, recording, and mastering facility located in the heart of Honolulu, on the island of Oahu, in the beautiful state of Hawaii, USA. The facility features two fully equipped rehearsal studios with backline equipment and PA system as well as capability to record rehearsals “live”. The recording studio is based around a 32 channel analog Sound Craft Ghost mixing console linked digitally to a Universal Audio Apollo 16 interface. Thunder Studios uses Pro Tools 11 and Cubase 8.0 as well as Universal Audio, Eventide, and Waves plugins. Outboard gear consists of a selection of tube preamps and analog reverb delay processing.
Thunder Studios engineers have many years experience as musicians, live sound engineers, tour managers, producers, and recording/mastering engineers working with such groups as Blues Traveler, Megadeth, Wayne Newton, Ozzy Osbourne, and countless other local, regional, and international artists. Our recent staff addition Lock Lynch is nominated for a 2015 “Hoku” award for engineer.
